Christopher A. Pender, Sr. MHS was born and raised in North Philadelphia where he attended school in the Philadelphia school system. Chris graduated from Murrell Dobbins Vocational Technical School located at 22nd & Lehigh. Chris went on to Rochester Institute of Technology where he majored in Business before receiving his Masters Degree in Human Services from Lincoln University. Chris is married to his wife Debbie of 30 years and has four children, one is currently serving in the United States Air Force, two are college graduates, and the youngest is a senior in college.

Chris has been working with youth for over 25 years in capacities such as athletic coach, mentor, role model, and Youth Pastor. Chris has mentored successfully over 200 youth in his journey through life. Chris is currently President of Cheltenham Achievers Network, and Executive Director of Calvary Community Development Corporation.

Chris has been working with Men, Parents, and families for over 15 years. “Absentee Fathers through Death, Abandonment, and Incarceration was the topic of the Thesis Chris wrote while obtaining his MHS at Lincoln University. Chris has conducted workshops for The State Correction Institute of Chester, The Philadelphia School District, The Mayors office of Reentry, Rutgers Camden Campus, Mothers in Charge, and various locations throughout the Tri-State area.

Chris designed and operated HYPE (Helping Youth Prepare Effectively) for the Norristown and Harrisburg School systems which boast a 95% success rate with students passing form middle school to high school.

Chris’s favorite quote is”No individual has any right to come into this world and pass through it without leaving behind distinct legitimate reasons for having been here.”

Chris has dedicated his life to “Accentuating The Positive” through investing in Men, parents, youth, and families as the reach their full potential in Christ.

Chris’s latest project is a book titled “When Grown Men Play hide in Seek.” The impact of fatherlessness on social pathologies and society! “Accentuate The Positive”
